We’re looking for an experienced Service Designer to join a significant healthcare programme, supporting pathway redesign and helping translate clinical and operational requirements into practical, implementable solutions.
This is a part-time contract suited to someone who is comfortable working across complex healthcare environments and can bring structure and clarity to processes, user journeys and implementation planning.
About the role
Working closely with clinical, operational and programme stakeholders, you’ll provide targeted service design capability across a key programme of work.
You’ll help understand how services operate today, identify opportunities for improvement and design future-state pathways that work in practice.
Key areas of focus will include:
- Capturing clinical scenarios and user journeys
- Developing current-state and future-state process maps
- Translating clinical and operational requirements into clear service design artefacts
- Identifying pain points, risks, impacts and change requirements
- Supporting pathway redesign and implementation planning
- Supporting the development and updating of SOPs
- Developing practical implementation documentation and handover materials
About you
You’ll bring senior-level service design experience, ideally within healthcare, health service improvement, clinical pathway design or another complex operational environment.
You’ll bring senior-level service design experience, ideally within healthcare, health service improvement, clinical pathway design or another complex operational environment.
You’ll also bring:
- Strong process mapping and facilitation skills
- Experience translating complex requirements into practical service designs
- Experience supporting implementation and operational change
- Confidence working with clinical, operational and programme stakeholders
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent senior-level experience
