Senior Technology Risk Analyst | 6-month contract | Auckland (hybrid)
We're on the hunt for an experienced Senior Technology Risk Analyst for a 6-month contract to oversee and drive Level 1 risk compliance across a large enterprise technology ecosystem.
About the role
You'll focus on ensuring that established risk protocols and governance tooling are consistently utilised across the business. Your main responsibilities include:
- Drive Level 1 Compliance: Act as the primary owner and custodian for Level 1 technology risk compliance, ensuring all day to day operational tech activities align with agreed risk frameworks.
- Tooling and Protocol Oversight: Monitor, evaluate, and enforce the consistent use of internal risk management tools and governance protocols across technical teams.
- Escalation Management: Proactively identify and escalate instances where risk processes or tooling are not being utilised correctly, providing clear documentation and context to senior leadership.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the bridge between technology teams and the wider risk function, communicating complex risk concepts clearly and constructively to influence compliance.
- Remediation Support: Assist technical teams in identifying why compliance gaps occur and guide them back toward correct protocol adherence.
Acting as the the primary stakeholder for Level 1 compliance, you will possess exceptional communication skills, allowing you to confidently escalate instances where processes or tools are bypassed. You will hit the ground running to maintain robust risk management standards.
You'll bring the following skills and experience:
- Senior Tech Risk Expertise: Proven experience operating at a senior level within technology risk, operational risk, or IT audit environments.
- Level 1 Line of Defence Knowledge: Deep understanding of Level 1 risk management frameworks, controls, and compliance procedures within a complex corporate setting.
- Tooling Proficiency: Strong hands on experience utilizing industry standard risk management software, GRC tools, and tracking systems.
- Outstanding Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to challenge constructively, manage difficult conversations, and escalate issues effectively.
