About the Roles:
We currently have two Senior Project Manager opportunities with our clients — one focused on  IT/technology delivery, the other on  business change and commissioning transformation.

Role 1 – IT Project Delivery
Our client is delivering a programme of information services and technology projects, working closely with a Business Partnering and Delivery Manager and the wider technology leadership team. You'll plan, manage and implement a portfolio of IT projects end-to-end — developing robust project plans, managing budgets, risks and vendor relationships, and ensuring key stakeholders are kept informed on milestones and business benefits. You'll also play a role in lifting project management capability and maturity across the organisation, coaching project teams and providing thought leadership on delivery best practice.

Role 2 – Business Change & Commissioning Transformation
Our client is undertaking a major transformation of how it partners with providers and invests in services, moving from a traditional purchasing model to a more strategic, outcomes-focused commissioning approach. Working alongside a Programme Manager and multiple General and Team Managers, you'll coordinate activity across several interconnected workstreams — including contract changes, provider engagement and assessment, investment frameworks, and phased service recommissioning — while managing risks, dependencies and competing priorities across the programme.
Both roles are highly collaborative, with success driven by influence, facilitation and strong stakeholder relationships rather than formal authority.

Key Responsibilities
  • Developing and maintaining integrated delivery plans across workstreams
  • Managing project scope, budget, schedule, risks and dependencies
  • Supporting contracting, procurement or commissioning activity where relevant
  • Coordinating change, communications and stakeholder engagement activities
  • Identifying risks and issues, ensuring timely escalation
  • Preparing reporting and governance information for senior leaders and steering groups
  • Coaching teams and stakeholders in effective project and programme management practices
  • Building and maintaining strong internal and external relationships
About You
  • Significant experience leading and delivering complex IT/technology or business change projects within a structured PM framework
  • Strong stakeholder management, consultation and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to influence, negotiate and build consensus without direct authority
  • Sound judgement, with the ability to advise senior leaders and governance groups
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Resilience, adaptability and a pragmatic, outcomes-focused approach
  • Relevant tertiary qualification and/or PM certification (PMP, PRINCE2 or Agile) desirable
  • Public sector, commissioning, procurement or technology delivery experience an advantage
