Are you a technically strong accountant looking for your next challenge within a dynamic, project-driven environment? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established, large-scale organisation in a broad financial accounting role with real variety and complexity.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you'll play a key role in supporting the finance function across a wide range of accounting and reporting activities. This is a hands-on position with genuine breadth; from day-to-day transactional responsibilities through to more complex group-level reporting. You'll also have one direct report, giving you the opportunity to lead, mentor and develop a team member alongside your own work.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Tax management; Income Tax, GST, WHT, NRWT, FBT and PAYE
  • Balance sheet management and reconciliations
  • Month end processes, journal entries and checks
  • Joint operations and multi-entity accounting & reporting
  • Quarterly and annual group consolidation and reconciliations
  • Treasury, banking and reporting
  • Fixed assets and IFRS16 management
  • Statutory accounts, consolidation and audit support
  • Compliance requirements and ad hoc projects
  • Supporting and developing one direct report

To be successful in this role you will bring:
  • 5+ years' experience in a financial accounting role
  • Ideally some prior experience leading or mentoring others; or the desire to
  • Demonstrated experience in group consolidation and multi-entity reporting;  you're comfortable working across complex structures and bringing it all together accurately
  • Hands-on experience with SAP
  • A finance-related qualification
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills; you can cut through complexity and get to what matters
  • A proactive, initiative-driven approach; you don't wait to be told, you identify what needs doing and act
  • A continuous improvement mindset; you actively look for ways to streamline processes and add value beyond your remit
  • The ability to navigate ambiguity and adapt confidently in a changing environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A commercial mindset with the ability to build strong internal and external relationships

The Culture Fit
Just as important as the technical skills is the right personality fit. This is a down-to-earth team that works hard, supports each other, and knows how to have a laugh along the way. They take their work seriously but not themselves and they're looking for someone who brings that same energy. If you thrive in a collaborative environment where relationships matter as much as results, you'll feel right at home here.

Why Apply?
This organisation has a strong values-led culture and a genuine commitment to the development of its people. You'll be joining a finance team where your contribution goes beyond the numbers and where you'll be encouraged to make your mark.
