About the role
This is a hands-on senior engineering role where you'll work across infrastructure, cloud, CI/CD, observability, and internal developer enablement. You'll help shape engineering standards, improve platform maturity, and champion best practice across the software delivery lifecycle.

Key responsibilities include:
- Designing, implementing and optimising CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Bitbucket, ensuring strong governance, version control, and release management practices.
- Building and maintaining reusable Infrastructure-as-Code modules using Terraform, provisioning secure and scalable Azure environments.
- Supporting Kubernetes-based deployment models, enhancing container operations, and embedding security, monitoring and observability into engineering workflows.
- Contributing to internal developer platform initiatives, including self-service capabilities, reusable templates, golden paths, and improving the overall developer experience.
- Collaborating closely with engineering teams to automate delivery processes, uplift DevOps maturity, and document standards, runbooks and platform capabilities.
You'll be an experienced DevOps or Platform Engineer who enjoys solving complex engineering challenges and enabling teams through automation and modern platform practices.
You'll bring:
- 8–15 years' experience working within DevOps, Platform Engineering or Cloud Engineering environments.
- Strong expertise with Terraform, Azure, Git, Jenkins, Bitbucket Pipelines, Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience implementing observability solutions using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic and the Elastic Stack.
- Solid scripting and development capabilities, particularly with TypeScript and/or Java, along with an understanding of APIs, microservices and modern application architectures.
- A security-first mindset, including experience with secrets management, RBAC, vulnerability management and shift-left quality practices.
- Exposure to Internal Developer Platforms, Backstage, golden paths, reusable templates, or platform enablement initiatives will be highly regarded.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence, mentor and collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders alike.
