This is a consulting‑style role where you’ll partner with internal teams and support clients by answering technical questions and explaining data solutions clearly. It’s not a sales role and you won’t be running client meetings - but strong communication and professionalism matter.
This opportunity suits someone who wants to build a long‑term career, develop depth across modern data platforms, and make a genuine contribution through their work.
What you’ll be doing:
- Designing and building robust data pipelines, including ETL/ELT processes, data models, and provisioning layers
- Delivering data warehousing and lakehouse solutions using modern cloud tooling
- Working closely with stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into practical solutions
- Supporting client projects by responding to technical questions, explaining design decisions, and assisting with troubleshooting
- Ensuring high standards around data quality, reliability, and reusability
- Continuously learning and improving your craft across data engineering, platforms, and best practices
- 5+ years of hands‑on data engineering experience.
- Strong practical skills in Python and SQL, with experience building real production pipelines
- Exposure to cloud data platforms (Databricks, Azure, Fabric or similar)
- Comfortable explaining technical concepts clearly to non‑technical stakeholders and clients
- A grounded, team‑oriented engineer who values quality, learning, and long‑term contribution
- Long‑term, stable career path with room to grow your technical depth
- Work that’s genuinely valued by both internal teams and external clients
- Exposure to varied problems, data types, and platforms
- A culture that respects craft, collaboration, and professionalism
- A realistic, sustainable role - not built around burnout or ego
