We're partnering with one of New Zealand's most respected corporate affairs consultancies. Consistently recognised for its work, this firm advises some of the country's most influential organisations through complex issues, high-profile projects, reputation challenges, stakeholder engagement programmes and business-critical communications initiatives.
We're looking for a smart, commercially-minded corporate affairs professional with around five years' experience who enjoys the grunty end of communications: the writing, advising, stakeholder management, media engagement, problem solving and client delivery that keeps organisations moving forward.
You'll be trusted to lead day-to-day client work, build strong client relationships, provide advice, drive projects, and ensure exceptional delivery across a diverse portfolio of corporate affairs and communications programmes.
What you'll be doing
- Managing and growing relationships with a portfolio of clients
- Providing practical, trusted communications and corporate affairs advice
- Writing high-quality content including media releases, executive communications, stakeholder messaging, briefings and strategic communications materials
- Supporting media engagement and stakeholder relations activity
- Leading projects from start to finish, ensuring work is delivered on time and to a high standard
- Identifying opportunities to expand client engagements and contribute to business growth
- Working closely with senior leaders while having genuine ownership of your own workstreams and client relationships
You may currently be a Senior Account Executive ready for the next step, or already operating at SAM level in an agency, consultancy or advisory environment.
You'll likely bring:
- Around 5+ years' experience in corporate communications, public affairs, corporate affairs, PR or strategic communications
- Exceptional writing skills and attention to detail
- Experience working directly with clients and senior stakeholders
- Strong commercial instincts and the confidence to drive work forward independently
- The ability to navigate complexity, think critically and exercise sound judgement
- A proactive mindset and genuine curiosity about business, politics, media and current affairs
- The confidence to represent both clients and your organisation professionally in high-stakes situations
You'll work alongside some of the sharpest minds in the industry, gain exposure to some of New Zealand's most interesting and complex communications challenges, and join a firm with an outstanding reputation, strong values and a track record of delivering exceptional outcomes for clients.
If you're intellectually curious, commercially aware, a strong writer and someone who genuinely enjoys delivering great client work, we'd love to hear from you.
