The Opportunity
Our client is a well-regarded consulting firm engaged on a significant, high-profile government programme of work. We are seeking experienced  Senior Consultants  to join a collaborative and delivery-focused team on  6-month contracts (hourly rate), with strong potential to extend.

This is a rare opportunity to work on nationally significant work alongside a talented group of consulting professionals.

About the Role
Working as a Senior Consultant embedded within a high-performing team, you will contribute across one or more disciplines spanning project management, change management, and business analysis. Day-to-day, you can expect to:
  • Lead and coordinate workstreams within a complex, multi-stakeholder programme environment
  • Develop and maintain programme plans, RAID logs, and reporting frameworks
  • Design and implement structured change management approaches (PROSCI/ADKAR or equivalent)
  • Develop stakeholder engagement and communication strategies to support organisational readiness and transition
  • Elicit, document, and validate business requirements, producing high-quality process maps, gap analyses, and options papers
  • Facilitate workshops with senior stakeholders and subject matter experts
  • Drive accountability and delivery across cross-functional teams
The successful candidates will bring depth in at least one of the three disciplines, with the versatility to contribute across the others where needed.

About You
You are a confident, delivery-focused consultant with a proven track record of navigating complexity in demanding environments.

You will bring:
  • Big 4 or equivalent tier-one consulting experience  (current or former)
  • Demonstrated experience delivering within government or large-scale programme environments
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills — comfortable at the executive level and equally effective in the detail
  • The ability to hit the ground running in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment
  • Experience with legislative reform work highly advantageous
Relevant qualifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, PROSCI, or CBAP will be well regarded.

Why Apply?
  • Nationally significant, high-impact programme of work
  • Collaborative team culture with a focus on quality outcomes
  • Competitive hourly rate — commensurate with Big 4 experience
  • Wellington-based with flexible working arrangements
How to Apply
If you're an experienced consultant looking for your next meaningful contract, we'd love to hear from you.
