Our client is a forward-thinking organisation embarking on an exciting transformation — the establishment of a brand new PMO function. This is a rare opportunity to be the person who builds it from the ground up, not just maintains what's already there.
If you're a Senior BA who gets energised by ambiguity, loves creating structure from scratch, and knows how to bring stakeholders along on the journey, this contract role is calling your name.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Leading the setup and establishment of a new PMO office, including frameworks, processes, and governance structures
- Defining and documenting business processes, ensuring clarity and consistency across the organisation
- Developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and key business artefacts
- Building out PMO templates, tools, and documentation libraries to support project delivery
- Engaging with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into actionable process improvements
- Proven experience as a Senior Business Analyst, with exposure to PMO setup or transformation programmes
- Strong skills in business process definition, documentation, and SOP development
- Demonstrated ability to build artefacts and frameworks from scratch in ambiguous environments
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills — you can simplify the complex
- Experience working in fast-paced project environments where no two days look the same
- Bonus: Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid)
- You must have the right to work in New Zealand and be based in Auckland.
