Project Manager (Microsoft 365 / Identity) | 7-month Contract | Auckland
Immediate opportunity for a hands-on technical Project Manager to step into a critical programme of work within a large, complex environment. This role will see you driving a high-impact identity and access initiative, working across multiple stakeholders and technical streams.
About the role
You’ll take ownership of a “guest conversion” project, focused on transitioning users into a new operating model within a Microsoft 365 environment. This involves coordinating email transitions, managing identity changes, and ensuring seamless access across systems.
Working closely with a small, highly technical team (engineers + BA), you’ll be responsible for keeping delivery on track, unblocking issues, and translating technical detail into clear, actionable updates for stakeholders.

Key responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of a complex identity and access project
- Coordinate email transitions and user account conversion within Microsoft 365
- Manage dependencies across multiple workstreams (including device upgrades)
- Translate technical challenges into clear business-friendly updates
- Drive momentum, remove blockers, and ensure timely delivery
- Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager in M365 environments
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Teams, identity, and guest access models
- Comfortable working with engineers and technical BAs at a detailed level
- Able to simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences
- Proactive, solutions-focused, and confident navigating ambiguity
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
