We are on the hunt for an experienced Product Analyst to join a high-performing Service Design & Analysis team, supporting critical enterprise products and platforms that underpin core digital services. This is a long-term contract opportunity through to July 2027, with an immediate focus on strengthening product lifecycle analysis and service design capability.
About the role
Working in a flow-to-work environment, you’ll operate across product analysis, service definition, requirements discovery and continuous improvement, partnering closely with Product Managers, Domain Architects and Solution Designers.
You'll play a central role in the Product Lifecycle Management Framework, with a particular focus on the Ideation Phase: gathering requirements, facilitating workshops, and providing analytical insights that drive meaningful outcomes across a broad digital portfolio. Your responsibilities will include:
- Defining and documenting product, platform and service requirements
- Leading workshops, process mapping and discovery activities
- Documenting and agreeing on scope, approach, and plans for work packages
- Designing, organising, and facilitating requirements and design workshops with stakeholders
- Providing monthly product data analysis to identify trends across Incident, Request, Change, Problem, and System Health Management
- Supporting product lifecycle artefacts including support processes, SOPs and knowledge documentation
- Working across stakeholders to manage dependencies, risks and approvals in a complex environment
You’re a seasoned Product Analyst or senior Business Analyst who enjoys operating at the intersection of product, service design and analysis. You hold, or are eligible to obtain, a NZ government Secret Vetting (SV) clearance. You'll bring:
- Proven experience in product, platform, or service definition and process mapping
- Strong background in ITIL Service Management and Transition
- Experience validating functional and technical business requirements
- Confident facilitating workshops and leading information-gathering sessions
- Demonstrated ability to conduct document and data analysis
- Experience identifying, analysing, and communicating risk
- Skilled in creating clear, professional presentations and reports
- ITIL certification or formal ITSM experience is highly desirable
