Observability Engineer | Contract (3-month) | ASAP Start | AKL based

We're looking for an experienced Observability Engineer to join our client on an initial 3-month contract, with potential for extension.

About the role
In this role you'll configure, optimise and embed monitoring capabilities across a website.

The focus is on ensuring visibility of website performance and key customer journeys, particularly across the online sales funnel from quote through to purchase.

This is a hands-on delivery role, suited to someone who can come in, get the tooling working effectively, establish reporting and monitoring processes, and hand over to the internal team. Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Configuring and deploying Dynatrace monitoring across the website and key customer journeys.
  • Setting up and optimising Splunk monitoring, dashboards and reporting.
  • Establishing performance monitoring across critical sales funnels and transactions.
  • Identifying performance issues, gaps in monitoring and opportunities for improvement.
  • Creating meaningful dashboards, alerts and reporting to support ongoing visibility.
  • Documenting configurations and handing over knowledge and ownership to the internal team.
About you
You'll be a technically strong, hands-on engineer with proven experience configuring and implementing monitoring and observability tools. You'll bring:
  • Strong practical experience with Dynatrace and Splunk, including setup, configuration and reporting.
  • Experience monitoring website and application performance, ideally across transactional or eCommerce platforms.
  • The ability to build dashboards, configure alerts and translate monitoring data into actionable insights.
  • A solid understanding of application performance, troubleshooting and monitoring best practices.
  • The confidence to work independently, deliver quickly and leave the internal team set up for success.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys getting stuck into the technical detail and delivering a defined piece of work. If this sounds like you, do not hesitate and apply Today! Luisa Larios (Luisa@momentum.co.nz) will be in touch.

**Please note that only applicants currently based in New Zealand with the appropriate work rights (a valid visa) will be considered**
