IT Project Manager | Contract (6-Month) | Auckland (hybrid)
We're looking for an experienced IT Project Manager to join a well-established PMO and deliver a diverse portfolio of software and infrastructure projects.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys owning delivery, juggling multiple priorities, and working closely with business stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams to achieve great outcomes.

You'll be responsible for a mix of SaaS implementations and technology delivery supporting new developments across New Zealand, giving you the opportunity to work on projects that have a real impact on both staff and customers.
About the Role
Reporting to the Senior IT Project Manager, you'll take ownership of multiple concurrent projects from initiation through to delivery and transition into BAU. Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering SaaS implementations, application upgrades, and technology projects aligned to business priorities.
- Managing project plans, budgets, timelines, risks, issues, dependencies, and governance reporting.
- Coordinating internal teams, external vendors, and business stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.
- Leading project communications, steering committee reporting, and change activities.
- Managing UAT, go-live planning, hypercare, and project closeout.
- Supporting continuous improvement within the PMO and project delivery framework.
You'll be an experienced IT Project Manager who enjoys being on the tools rather than sitting above delivery. You'll bring:
- 3+ years' experience delivering IT projects in enterprise environments.
- Experience managing multiple concurrent projects from initiation through to implementation.
- Strong delivery experience across SaaS, cloud, software, or business application projects.
- Experience managing project budgets, governance, reporting, risks, and dependencies.
- Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies.
- Experience using tools such as Jira, Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps, Freshservice or similar.
- A proactive, pragmatic approach with the ability to adapt quickly and solve problems.
- PMP, PRINCE2 or Agile certification will be highly regarded.
