IT Deployment Manager

IT Deployment Manager | Contract (3month rolling) | Auckland
We are on the hunt for an experienced Deployment Manager to lead a large-scale technology deployment programme. This is a hands-on contract opportunity where you'll be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering device migration activities, ensuring deployments are completed safely, efficiently, and with minimal disruption to end users.

About the Role

You'll take ownership of deployment readiness, migration planning, scheduling, and day-to-day delivery. Managing multiple workstreams, you'll coordinate engineers, desktop support teams, floorwalkers, logistics resources, and technical leads to ensure every deployment is executed to a high standard.

You'll also be responsible for managing risks, resolving issues, providing regular status reporting, and maintaining alignment between customer project teams and deployment resources throughout the project lifecycle. 

Key Responsibilities

• Lead deployment planning, readiness, and execution activities
• Develop and manage deployment schedules, migration run sheets, and rollout plans
• Coordinate engineers, desktop support teams, floorwalkers, logistics, and technical resources
• Lead deployment briefings, daily stand-ups, and post-deployment reviews
• Monitor progress against project milestones and delivery timelines
• Identify, manage, and escalate deployment risks and issues
• Work closely with customer project managers to ensure successful planning and execution
• Provide operational leadership across multiple deployment locations and workstreams
• Ensure device migrations are delivered safely, efficiently, and to agreed quality standards
• Produce clear status reporting and communicate progress to key stakeholders

About You

• Proven experience leading large-scale IT deployment, device refresh, migration, or technology rollout projects
• Strong background coordinating technical teams across desktop support, infrastructure, or end-user computing environments
• Excellent planning, scheduling, and resource management skills
• Experience managing deployment run sheets, migration activities, and operational delivery
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities and resolve issues in fast-paced environments
• Experience working within structured project delivery methodologies
