This is a solid step into a senior advisory Information Security role at one of New Zealand's public sector organisations. You'll work across architecture, risk and delivery, advising on how the organisation protects its solutions and systems. If you've built a strong InfoSec foundation and you're ready to broaden your influence beyond purely technical work, this is a good one.
The Role
- Advise on secure solution delivery through security control selection and design
- Partner with Architects and Engineers to ensure solutions align with enterprise security controls and integrate with Security Operations monitoring
- Contribute to Solution Designs and advise on security testing and assurance activities
- Identify threats and advise on mitigating actions to manage risk effectively
- Support the development and execution of Information Security Strategy and Roadmap
- Assist Security Operations with complex incidents and change requests
- 5+ years in Information Security, with some exposure to security design, consulting or advisory work
- Comfortable communicating with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders
- Working knowledge of security architecture principles, risk management and Agile delivery
- Awareness of emerging threats and evolving technology trends
- Relevant industry certifications (CISSP, CISM, or similar) are a plus, though not essential if your experience is strong
You'll get genuine breadth here, working across a large and complex organisation where your advice has real-world impact. This is a good platform to develop your advisory and strategic skills alongside experienced security leadership.
