Key aspects of the role:

- We’re looking for an HR Business Partner with excellent relationship building skills, who can influence people leaders in the operational teams and senior managers across the organisation promoting a positive work environment that enhances employee engagement and organisational effectiveness.

- It will be essential to have a strong HR Generalist background including a solid base of ER and experience in a Unionised environment would be ideal. You may not have much experience with Collective Bargaining - if you do fantastic, if not, this is your opportunity to be on the Bargaining team and learn, ensuring strong union partnerships.

- Encouraging and coaching people leaders to handle the basics of ER such as absenteeism, you will naturally step in to manage genuinely complex employee relations cases. Being able to quickly discern this will ensure the capability of leaders is lifted and you have the time to work on strategic initiatives and have time for big picture thinking.   

- You will relish the opportunity to progress strategic HR projects, such as designing and building a new Performance Management system which needs strengthening and linking with the Remuneration system. Guided by the CPO this is your opportunity do the deep thinking and research.

-Reporting directly to the CPO, you’ll work in a People team of 7, leading an HR Advisor reporting to you; and work closely with the L&D Business Partner, HR Operations Manager, and 2 HR Coordinators.
