About the Role
As Group Manager, Regional Finance, you will provide leadership to a regional finance team and ensure the effective delivery of core financial functions, including budgeting, forecasting, and monthly reporting. Working closely with leaders across the organisation, you will support sound financial decision‑making and the responsible stewardship of public resources.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Work closely with a high‑performing regional finance team.
  • Delivering accurate and timely consolidated financial reporting, budget management, and analysis. Ensuring confidence in the numbers
  • Partner with clinical and operational leaders to support strategic and operational objectives.
  • Driving initiatives that improve financial performance and resource utilisation.
  • Providing mentorship and coaching to support capability development within the team.
  • Acting in a delegated capacity for the Regional CFO when required.
About You
You are a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in senior leadership roles within large, complex organisations. You bring strong technical expertise alongside well‑developed relationship management and leadership skills.

You will ideally have:
  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in senior financial leadership roles.
  • Chartered Accountant status (or equivalent).
  • Strong experience in financial management, cost control, and financial analysis.
  • Proven ability to build effective relationships across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • A demonstrated commitment to equity and improving outcomes for Māori, Pacific peoples, and other priority populations.
  • An open, improvement‑focused mindset with a willingness to innovate.
  • Experience in a large complex organisation with the ability to drive change, maintain controls and remain calm under pressure
