About the Opportunity

Our client is one of New Zealand's largest fully integrated logistics providers, offering seamless global supply chain solutions; from international freight to warehousing and domestic delivery. With a team of over 450 people and an extensive footprint of 13 branches and 6 warehouses nationwide, they are recognised for their leading-edge technology and long-standing partnerships with multinational and local customers.

We are seeking an experienced Finance Business Partner to join their finance team, supporting the Transport business unit with high-quality financial insight and commercial guidance.

Based in Auckland, this role is pivotal in providing meaningful, purposeful information to business managers on the performance of the Transport business units. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders including the CEO, CFO, GMs and the wider Finance team, to drive profitability and support sound decision-making across the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing Transport business unit P&Ls to ensure targets are met
  • Consolidating, producing and distributing weekly P&Ls and monthly actual/budget/last-year variance reports and commentary
  • Analysing key financial and non-financial business drivers to add value across the Transport business
  • Partnering with business unit managers to develop strategies that maximise profit
  • Preparing budgets and updating budget data into the Finance Management System
  • Courier billing, revenue calculation and cost of sales coding
  • Preparing forecasts, customer sales reports and short-term incentive (STI) schedules
  • Contributing to the ongoing development of customer profitability reporting

What We're Looking For
  • Post-graduate qualification in Business or Accounting, including CPA/CA
  • Experience within Transport and Logistics, 3PL, Supply Chain, Freight Forwarding, or a related industry is preferred but not essential
Skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Systems solutions and process improvement focus
  • Self-directed, with the ability to manage and mentor others
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills

Why Apply? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established, technology-driven logistics business with a strong safety culture and a genuine focus on people, service and performance. You'll work alongside experienced GMs and senior finance leaders in a role with real influence over commercial outcomes.
