About the role
As their Data Architect | Principal Consultant you'll work closely with enterprise clients to design modern data platforms, define architecture standards, and provide trusted guidance over data, analytics and AI initiatives.
As their Data Architect | Principal Consultant you'll work closely with enterprise clients to design modern data platforms, define architecture standards, and provide trusted guidance over data, analytics and AI initiatives.
This roles combines architecture leadership with hands-on technical oversight. You'll work alongside engineers, consultants, and stakeholders to shape solutions, guide delivery teams and ensure successful outcomes across multiple client engagements.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Lead discovery workshops, architecture assessments and solution design engagements.
- Design modern cloud-based data platforms across Databricks, Snowflake, MS Fabric and Azure.
- Develop architecture patterns, governance frameworks and data platform standards.
- Guide data modelling, integration, analytics, and AI enablement initiatives.
- Provide architectural oversight throughout project delivery lifecycles.
- Support solution shaping, estimation, and pre-sales activities.
You are comfortable moving between the boardroom ad the delivery team. You have strong consulting capability, excellent stakeholder engagement skills, and a proven track record designing scalable cloud data platforms. You'll bring:
- 8+ years' experience across data engineering, analytics, architecture or related disciplines.
- Proven experience designing enterprise-scale data platforms and modern data architectures.
- Strong expertise with Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, and Azure Data Services. Combined with deep understanding of Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, and modern cloud-native architecture patterns.
- Experience with data modelling approaches including Star Schema, Snowflake schema and Data Vault.
- Experience supporting analytics, reporting, AI, and machine learning workloads.
- Bonus: Experience within a consulting or professional services environment.
