This is a newly created role for someone who knows how to bring people along on a technology shift. You will be the person who bridges the gap between technology and everyday business users, helping people across the organisation discover, adopt and confidently use AI and automation tools in their day-to-day work. From running enablement sessions to supporting solution governance, you will play a central part in shaping how the business uses these tools responsibly and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build capability and confidence across the business in the practical use of AI and automation tools
- Coach and support users to design, build and refine their own tools, workflows and reusable assets
- Guide solutions from early idea through to working prototype using approved platforms and patterns
- Assess user-built solutions and determine the right level of governance, formality and oversight for each
- Set and maintain clear standards for documentation, testing, version control and handover
- Help establish and grow the organisation's AI and Automation Centre of Excellence
- Promote safe experimentation while keeping unmanaged risk, shadow systems and technical debt in check
- Hands-on experience enabling non-technical users to adopt AI productivity tools, with the ability to coach, train and upskill people at all levels
- Practical ability to help users design and build prompts, workflows, lightweight automations and reusable AI tools using platforms such as Microsoft Power Platform, Microsoft 365 or similar
- Sound judgement around when a user-built solution can remain lightweight and when it needs to move into a more formally governed development pathway
- A solid understanding of documentation, version control, testing, release management and support handover practices
- Clear thinking on data privacy, security, access control and responsible AI use
- Strong facilitation and communication skills, with confidence engaging stakeholders across the business to translate practical problems into workable solutions
This is a high-visibility role with direct access to senior leadership and genuine scope to shape how AI and automation is used across the business. You will have the opportunity to build something meaningful from the ground up, including helping establish the organisation's AI and Automation Centre of Excellence. The business is serious about making this work, and you will have the backing and support to do it well.
