About the Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you’ll play a key role in delivering accurate, timely, and insightful financial reporting to support decision-making across the organisation. You’ll work closely with the Finance Manager and CFO, gaining firsthand commercial experience while helping develop budgeting, forecasting, and performance reports.
This is a role for someone who is adaptable, analytical, and excited to stretch beyond traditional accounting tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Work through day-to-day financial reporting and ensure accuracy of underlying data.
- Reconcile customised reporting with finance systems, sub-ledgers, payroll, and bank records.
- Prepare monthly results in line with internal policies and best practice.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Assist with annual financial statement preparation with external advisers.
- Support system migrations
- Assist with the adaptation of reporting as the business grows to ensure leaders receive actionable insights.
What We’re Looking For
- We want someone who is driven, curious, and ready to hit the ground running.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related discipline
- Chartered Accountant (CAANZ) or CPA qualified
- Strong experience within a Chartered Accountancy firm or consultancy
- Confident communicator who can influence stakeholders at all levels
- Tech-savvy with a “systems first” mindset
- ·Strong analytical skills and ability to translate numbers into meaningful insights
- Highly organised, solutions-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced environment
