Recruitment isn’t just Bruce's job, it’s his craft. With over 15 years in the game, he specialises in Business Transformation, Strategy, Data, and Technology. Having worn both agency and in-house hats, Bruce knows how to keep the process sharp and your brand shining.

Born in Hamilton and armed with a Media Arts and Communications degree from Wintec, Bruce spent a decade in Wellington before heading back to Auckland. His recruitment experience has spanned across New Zealand, Australia, Africa, Indonesia and France.

After three years in a large tech-consulting firm, Bruce is back at Momentum and teaming up with Chelsea Wallace to deliver what we call the Brelsea Experience: honest conversations, smart solutions, and high energy.

Outside of work you'll see Bruce out running, swimming, and online gaming—plus catching up with mates over a glass of rosé. Bruce also loves to support and advocate for the LGBTQ+ community and regularly attends Rainbow Auckland. He's previously led internal community groups running events and training sessions in support of the community and was a finalist in the 2025 Rainbow Excellence Awards for his mahi.

What do you value most in your work?
Building trust. Recruitment is much more than filling roles, it’s about building relationships that last. I believe in clear communication, honesty, and delivering on promises. When clients and candidates know they can rely on me, everything else falls into place.
 
What’s your favourite part of the job?
Turning what can feel like a black-and-white, transactional process into something people actually enjoy. Recruitment doesn’t have to be stressful, it can be collaborative, transparent, and even fun. Being able to have a good laugh with my candidates and clients is why I keep doing this for a living!
