Ian Kennedy is a Managing Partner at Momentum Consulting, where he leads the Corporate Services practice in Wellington. Specialising in senior Marketing, Communications, and Engagement appointments, Ian is recognised for his ability to connect top-tier talent with New Zealand’s most influential organisations. He combines deep sector expertise, international experience, and a proven record in executive recruitment to deliver outstanding outcomes for clients. 

Academic & Sporting Foundations 
Awarded a full rugby scholarship to Victoria University of Wellington, Ian completed a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing and Management. His time balancing high-performance sport with academic achievement instilled discipline, resilience, and leadership skills—qualities that underpin his professional approach today. 

International Experience 
Ian began his career as a Marketing Analyst in the agricultural sector, building strong commercial acumen while working across emerging markets in Asia and Europe. He later spent four years playing professional rugby in France, gaining invaluable international experience and the ability to thrive in diverse and competitive environments. This global perspective continues to shape his approach to leadership and talent advisory.
