Tehnical Business Analyst

Technical Business Analyst | Contract | Central Auckland 
We’re looking for an experienced Technical Business Analyst to join a 6-month contract supporting a critical enterprise technology programme focused on Microsoft Exchange modernisation and application dependency discovery.

This is a hands-on, technical BA role suited to someone who is comfortable working at the intersection of infrastructure, applications and business teams, and who enjoys untangling complex environments to enable smooth migrations and decommissioning.

About the role

• Supporting Exchange implementation and legacy environment decommissioning
• Gathering and validating technical requirements to minimise business disruption
• Documenting configurations, migration steps and operational artefacts
• Identifying servers, applications and services that rely on Exchange
• Mapping dependencies, integrations and messaging flows
• Producing inventories, readiness assessments and remediation inputs

About you

• Proven experience as a Technical Business Analyst in complex IT environments with strong knowledge of Microsoft Exchange (on-prem and online) and migration/decommissioning activities, with the ability to work multiple workstreams and deliver under tight deadlines. 
• Experience with application and service discovery in enterprise environments
• Understanding of messaging protocols, integrations and dependencies; familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policies and identity management. 
• Strong documentation, analysis and stakeholder engagement skills
• PowerShell scripting and data extraction experience
