We're working with a well-established organisation seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Coordinator to join their busy support office team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with both numbers and people, and is confident managing payroll and accounts processes in a fast-paced environment.
Reporting to the Head of Finance, you’ll be responsible for end-to-end payroll. This is a high-volume payroll that is done weekly. You'll work closely with internal teams to resolve payroll queries and ensure timely and accurate processing.

Key Responsibilities
- Process weekly payroll using
- Support operations teams to ensure accurate pay for hours worked
- Manage leave balances, deductions (IRD, KiwiSaver, child support), and final pays
- Complete IRD payday filing and bank payment processing
- Reconcile and code various business expenses and invoices across cost centres
- Assist with reporting
- Identify and escalate any potential payroll or accounts issues early
What You'll Need to Succeed
- Strong experience in end-to-end payroll
- Solid understanding of New Zealand payroll legislation and employee entitlements
- High attention to detail with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Comfortable using payroll and finance systems
