Financial Controller

This role is responsible for effectively leading and being accountable for the Finance team in delivering timely, accurate core financial reporting and analysis to meet internal and external accounting requirements. This organisation is one that does good for many in the community, their services and products. They operate with high integrity and safety as cornerstones in all that they do.

Reporting to the CFO key responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring the smooth execution of the month end and year end process
• Coordinate and manage the audit process
• Assist with the annual budget process
• Tax, treasury and cashflow management
• Ensure statutory and regulatory requirements are met
• Lead the financial and transactional accounting team to high performance
• Continuously improvements – systems and processes
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders internally and externally

• Be CA or similar qualified
• Have a mindset of continuous improvement
• Technically strong accounting skills with sound knowledge of IFRS standards
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to bring out the best in others
• Have the knack of articulating the numbers succinctly to a wide audience
• Willingness to roll up your sleeves and be part of a small but driven team
