We're supporting a key client in recruiting an Engineering Chapter Lead to join them on contract and provide hands-on leadership across both software and platform engineering domains.
In this role, you’ll support and grow a team of Software, SRE, and Platform Engineers, ensuring capability is nurtured and delivery risk is reduced across multiple squads. You’ll provide technical direction, coaching, and functional leadership while helping uplift engineering practices and delivery outcomes.
What you’ll bring:
- Proven experience leading teams in modern infrastructure engineering, ideally across Azure, Google Cloud, automation, and CI/CD pipelines.
- A strong background in software development using Java, Spring Boot, containers, and microservices/service-oriented architectures.
- A collaborative leadership style that fosters technical excellence and continuous improvement.
- The ability to quickly embed within delivery teams and identify opportunities to reduce risk and uplift capability.
- Experience coaching engineers at different levels to build a strong, high-performing engineering culture.
This is a critical contract position for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, guiding talented engineers, and shaping delivery practices that enable sustainable success. You’ll have the opportunity to influence across both software and platform domains in a fast-moving, delivery-focused environment.
