About the Role
As their new Senior Data Engineer / Data Architect, you’ll play a key role in designing, developing, and optimising data pipelines within a modern Lakehouse architecture. Using Databricks, you’ll help ensure clean, reliable, and accessible data flows that empower analytics, machine learning, AI and decision making.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Build and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines using Databricks.
- Integrate data from a wide range of sources (APIs, databases, files, streams)
- Optimise data processing performance within the Databricks Lakehouse platform
- Deploy and architect M/L models and AI solutions
- Ensure high standards of data quality, governance, and lineage
- Collaborate with analysts, scientists, and business teams to deliver trusted data products
- Support CI/CD practices for data workflows and infrastructure as code
- Maintain and monitor production pipelines, resolving issues proactively
- Proven experience as a Data Architect / Data Engineer working with large-scale datasets
- Strong hands-on expertise with Databricks
- Experience working in cloud-based data environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
- Experience with data orchestration tools like Data Factory, Airflow etc
- Familiarity with data modelling, data warehousing concepts, and data governance
- Strong problem-solving mindset and a passion for clean, scalable data solutions
