We’re partnering with a well respected Auckland-based client to find a Communications Lead who can bring sharp strategic thinking, commercial acumen, and strong Auckland-based corporate connections to the table.
This is a senior-level role for an experienced practitioner who thrives in complexity, understands the power of reputation, and can guide organisations through high-stakes moments with confidence.
You’ll combine hands-on delivery with leadership, taking ownership of client portfolios, shaping strategic programmes, and building lasting relationships at the most senior levels.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading the design and delivery of strategic communications programmes that drive real impact.
- Providing trusted, high-level counsel to senior executives and Boards.
- Building, growing, and retaining a portfolio of clients through your networks and expertise.
- Coaching and leading a high-performing team, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Bringing curiosity and insight into emerging trends, including the role of AI in modern communications.
- At least 10 years’ experience in corporate communications, public affairs, or a related field, ideally with consultancy or advisory experience.
- Proven ability to win, grow, and manage senior client relationships.
- Deep Auckland corporate connections and the confidence to leverage them.
- Exceptional strategic judgement and the ability to deliver clarity in complex, high-pressure situations.
- Commercial acumen, with a track record of driving growth and delivering results.
