Our Auckland-based client is looking for a motivated and commercially savvy Business Development Manager to focus on generating new business opportunities.

If you enjoy building relationships, uncovering client needs, and bringing in fresh opportunities, this role offers the chance to make a real impact. You'll play a key part in a consultancy that’s growing fast and delivering smart, data-driven solutions to the market.

This is a new business development role with a strong emphasis on identifying and securing new client relationships. The consultancy offers expert services in analytics and data solutions, and experience in this industry would be a real advantage — especially if you're familiar with how to communicate complex solutions to a senior audience.

Experience in the data solutions industry is highly advantageous

What you’ll be doing:

  • Sourcing and developing new business across a B2B client base
  • Managing the full sales cycle — from lead generation to closing
  • Building strong relationships with management and C-level decision-makers
  • Preparing compelling, tailored proposals and costings for service-based solutions
  • Attending relevant networking events, conferences, and client meetings
What we’re looking for:
  • At least 5 years of experience in B2B services sales
  • A background in selling professional services or software 
  • Experience in the data solutions industry is highly advantageous
  • A proven ability to navigate complex sales processes and enterprise clients
  • A proactive, self-starter who enjoys working independently and as part of a team
  • Strong commercial awareness and confidence engaging with decision-makers
