Mara supports the Marketing, Communications and Sales team in Wellington as their Sourcing Specialist. After an extended period in the Events Management industry Mara wanted a career change, but still desired something that had the foundation of people and relationships. Drawn to the social nature of recruitment, Mara initially joined the Velocity team as a consultant in the Business Support and Contact Centre space. However, in her time at Velocity Mara felt the need to grow her skill set and learn more about the executive level roles at Momentum. In 2016, Mara transferred her proven skills to the Momentum family, providing outstanding and consistent support to her team. Mara takes pride in her work and always delivers a dedicated and fun-loving attitude to her role, ensuring the team is supported in a positive environment.
From events to recruitment, I have always been in roles that mean seeing other people’s ideas and visions come to fruition. I love working with people, whether it’s helping them organise their wedding day or find a new role I’m in recruitment for the people I get to meet along the way.

A caravan complete with solar panels on the roof so I have shelter and electricity. Diving gear to make the most of the surrounding ocean and my dog.
I love to spend a sunny afternoon gardening or doing a crossword, but in all honesty most of my weekends would be spent with a few more drinks under the belt then what those activities allow for.
