Bernadette is a valuable member of the Momentum family as our Senior Consultant in the Marketing and Communications space. Boasting a diverse career, Bernadette has worked in several contexts including roles as a Personal Assistant, Executive Assistant to a Managing Director of a high-profile advertising agency, and an advertising Account Manager. After enjoying the fast-paced environment of her role as an Advertising Senior Account Manager, Bernadette was drawn to recruitment and joined Momentum as a Candidate Manager for the contracting team. Fueled by the motivation of playing a part in changing people’s lives and making a difference, Bernadette builds strong and genuine relationships with her clients and candidates alike. Weekends are full for Bernadette with family movie nights, kids’ soccer and volunteering her time for New Zealand charity Cure Kids, further emphasising her desire to help people. With a collaborative approach to her work, Bernadette genuinely cares about her work, candidates and clients and expresses this through her consistency to deliver as one of our core consultants.
I love helping people, I love matching candidates and clients based on their skills, and I love the values of the person and the organisation. I love the diversity of the roles I get to work on too – there are some seriously interesting pieces of work that are going on in Wellington. I love changing people’s lives.
My Desert Island, 3 things that I would take
That’s a hard one, I’d need four things as I would want to take my kids and husband. I could, of course, quickly change my mind on this when my kids start fighting!
I love watching my kids sport on Saturday morning, and just have the chance to slow down a bit. I look forward to Saturday night as it’s movie night with my little people.
Having three kids in a foreign country with no family support, and starting back at work after taking six years off.
