Writing a winning CV

Your Curriculum Vitae is one of the most important documents you will ever write.  Consider its function; it is the only communication tool you initially have to get your big toe on that next rung of the career ladder.

This document is your representative, it must convey your academic and professional achievements, your professional goals and aspirations and essentially who you are.  It doesn't end there though, your CV must do all of this in a few seconds, amongst a shouting, screaming throng of other CV's!

A well written CV will not only get you an interview, it will also continue to work for you through the recruitment process.  You can use your CV during the interview to focus the interviewer on your achievements.  Following the interview it will be re-read to sum up the candidates and to make the decision on who will be invited to a second interview or offered the role.
